    Help on Lugar holster

I have acquired a P.08 holter and would like to know the significance of the stamping on the back of it. There are the letters of "gjh" over the number of
    42. Which is above the nazi eagle (wings spread open) with swastika enblem and with the same stamp under the swastika enblem is "WaA 668". A p.08 is stamped to the right of the belt loop and the other stamping are between the belt loops. As a side note, which may not make any difference, it is a black hard shell holster.
    Thank for your help!

could you post a pic of it . Also this might sound stupid but give it a smell if it smells like a new leather belt I would pass on it. I have dealers at gunshows laughing at how they buy repo holsters throw some gun oil on them and sell them as orginals. Just trying to help out a fellow collector

      Hi,

The three letters are the secret code attributted to the holster maker. In this case it belongs to "Rudolf Conte, Nachf. Theodor Seibod, Fabrik fuer Lederwaren, Offenbach on the Main". "42" is the production year.

This is all I can tell you from the information provided.

      Douglas.

Thank you 3cavman. This is the real mcCoy. My uncle had had it for years and it does show signs of wear inside and out.
