        Holster

        Andy:
It sure look's OK to me, Judging by the condition, WW 2 or Korea, the color? Air force or MP. I doubt if it's a repro. Never heard of the MFG co, Usually repro's even go to the trouble of dating them. Could even be Viet Nam

After checking the MFG and comparing it with stuff I have with similar number's I am leaning more to Viet Nam Are there any ink stamp's on the inside flap? geopop

          Hi Geopop,

          Thanks for your reply.

There are no markings anywhere apart from the ones shown on the rear.
Would you have an idea of value on this please,as I mentioned before,I know nothing about them!

          Kind regards,
          Andy

            Post war...

Hi Andy...definatly post WW2. Early V/N stuff.....there were lots of wartime holsters dyed black when the army regs changed but its usually always really easy to tell if they were......best, rich

              1911 holster

I think it would be worth no more than $40-$50. Just my opinion.

Well...its an original 1911 holster. It is post-WWII. WWII holsters were brown.....for all branches. Some WWII vintage holsters were dyed black in 50s(I think late 50s...but may be wrong) and 60s. Those holsters would still have a WWII date on the back. Holsters produced from the ealy 60s on....would be in black. Your holster was probably produced in the 60s,70s or maybe 80s. Cant say for sure. These holsters can be found pretty cheap. I sometimes see holsters like this in bargin bins in gunstores. Its value is really what ever you can get some one to give you for ....if you are looking to sell. The holster you have in the pic appears damaged....so that subtracts also. Good luck
