        I have 2 ros 1945 pouches, both from Ukraine. One is brown, the other is black.

                yep,
                good ones, incredilbe where those pouches now came from. at least the price from those pouches got really cheap.

                  I don't know if this needs to be said, but G43s were just going to field testing in late 1943. Hitler's Garands at page 82 - "Of the 7,500 odd G43s produced during 1943, only twenty had made it to the front lines for trials by the end of the year."

                  This would indicate to me that there was not a great need for pouches in 1943 and that one would expect that pouch production would be like that of the rifle production.

                  HG at page 325 estimates production at 7500 made in 43, 330,500 in 44 and 122,000 in 45.
