    Lugar holster

Have recently acquired a Lugar holster from a relative. It has some scuffing and scratches on it. Is it advisable to have it polished or dyed to cover up those imperfections? Would that detract from it's value?

    IMHO, Yes.

      Vix,
I assume that you are replying "Yes" to the question about value?...

If you do anything to it at all, apply a light coating of Connoly's Hide Food and nothing else. Let it rest twenty-four hours then buff with a clean cloth. Anything else, and especially Pecards, will fnck up your holster forever.

Is Pecards bad stuff for OLD leather? I thought it was supposed to be the "preferred" product. I have put it on 98k slings in the past to keep them in good condition.

Pecards is intended to weather/water proof leather. It is pcked full of petroleum based additives that will permanently darken leather and speed-up the process of decay.
