    Hello,

I like your opinions on this rifle scope. From which country is it and how old? This thing is quite heavy! Anybody got info on this one?

    It is marked: I.O.R.
    left side: SrB0020
    right side: L 4,5 x 28

    Romanian vz24 sniper scope,mount

    Sir
your scope and mount is from a post war made vz24 romanain mauser rifle. Cal is 8mm. This a rare scope and mount. The rifles are easly to find in the us. But not the scopes. Most of the rifles are in bad shape with the bases on them
value of the scope and mount $1200.00 $1500.00 maybe a some more if someone is looking to complete his sniper rifle.
    Regards
    robert

Thanks for the info! Didn't knew it was worth that much of money... I also have the original leather scope protection cups.
But isn't the VZ24 a Czechoslovakian mauser rifle? Produced from 1924 to 1942 and until 1945 under german control as the gewehr 24 (t).
How can this scope be a post ww2 model then? Did they also have this scope during ww2?
      What does I.O.R. stand for?

      Thanks in advance!

        I.o.r. Sniper scope+ mount

        Sir.

Yes you are correct. the rifles were made by Czechoslovakians During that peroid. The Czech vc24 were produced for many countrys ,
Romanian was one of them. After the war the CZ24 were rebuilt. The Crest of King Carol and King Michael were removed from the receiver ring. And the mausers were used until later they were using the AK47"S.
The Romania cz sniper rilfe was used until the 1980"s The rifles were then sold to the USA market. Like I stated earlier they are in a sad state.
        I.O.R. stands for..................
        INDUSTRY OPTIC ROMANIA
Please let me know if you are planning to sell this scope.

        Regards

Reviving this old thread of mine.
I still have this scope, what would be the current value?
Any suggestions where I can put it for sale the best? (a gun forum?)
