My Arty has a checked past - WW1 1917 issued, 1920 police date stamp, KM numbered N1155 (with a M/anchor) and turns up at the end of the Jersey occupation 40-45.

            Hi geo
It's only the buttstock, beautifully marked WaA214, so I guess it came from an ealry S/147

Wow, that's story behind that lovely artillery
It's quite rare as according to Versailles treat those kind of guns should be destroyed after WW1 and were supposed not to see action during the Weimar Republik
              That's a must

The Treaty of Versailles did not require the destruction of nor restrict the use of long barreled pistols. The only thing it did was restrict new manufacture of military calibre arms (7.92 and 9mm) to what would be required to replace worn out weapons for an army of one hundred thousand. The Treaty also forbade the manufacture and export of military (7.92 and 9mm) weapons in the international arms trade.
