value of a P38 I Aquired ?

can any one tell me (ball Park,,,,, what this is worth

Hi all a friend of mine,
gave me a pretty mint P38 , that his dad brought back from Germany
The firing pin is missing
it comes with the Holster ( hard Leather & side slot for the clip)
I have the clip

A I cant post pix now I will give as much info on the markings as I see
serial #9874 9
marking on barrlel next to serial # is "byf"
"44"
On the holster ( the side that would ride against your body is a eagle holdinga swaztica

clip is in good shape all spot weld are intact,, some runner markes from use

Byf...That is Mauser's Code.. .

I have seen matching byf coded p38s with holster go for between 550 and 950 USD depending on the condition of the pistol(original blueing, extra and matching mags, original cleaning kit, and etc).

Without seeing this pistol and knowing the condition of it (finish, bore....), Assuming this pistol is all matching, non-import in at least 90% condition with nice hardshell holster, and both mags are marked "eagle/WaA135", a ballpark number would be about $600-$700 for the rig.

Matt I still have the Flag I bouht from way back when
good to see around

there are markings on the clip, but my eyes aint what they used to be,, I have to look closly ,, its stamped "38"
and on the opposite side of the clip, it looks like there a stamping of a kings crown? It could be an eagle with out stretched wings,, but I need to look at it throuh a magnifing glass

there no clip in the pistol,, just the 1 in the holster clip pocket
some pixs up,, as soon as the X-wife get off her ass & gives me the camera
needless to say , she hates all this "Nazi stuff"

Man good to hear from you! I remeber that flag I sold you! It was a beauty!
When you take the pics, take one pic of the rig sitting on that flag if you could!?
That way some of the folks hear can see some of the stuff I use to have in my collection.
