WWII Russian Revolver Dated "1939" (?)

I've been offered this revolver, the owner says it's dated 1939, but I haven't seen those pics yet. What do you gun guys say? Potential value? I haven't made him an offer yet...

I think you can pick these up for only about $75-$100 or so depending on dates and such. I bought a Tula 1944 for $75 a few years back

As you know maker marks and date are in other side of the gun.

What is a baby Nagant?

What is a baby Nagant?

"Baby" nagant is short version of normal nagant, shorter barrel and grip.
Manufactured in 1927 (if I remember right), very small amount.

Usually used by NKVD officers.
