    Hungarian 43m pickup

Just purchased a 43m Hungarian submachine gun dewat. It was a vet bringback from Berchtesgaden. Need a magazine for it. Checked around without success. Other than going to Hungary does anybody know of one available?

Sounds like an interesting gun. Any chance we can see some photos?

Will have to send photos to someone that can post them. This weekend is a realistic time frame. The same vet also sent home a Beretta submachine gun (1944) model and a Sten MK5 submachine gun. All three were picked up near Berchtesgaden at the end of the war. He was a 101st Airborne trooper.

Is it a registered dewat? If so, you could "rewat" it.

Yes, all three were registered as dewats (breech filled in slightly with weld) back in 1945! Have the original bring-back papers. Found out later that they can indeed be made to function again.
Any Hungarian members that post here able to locate a magazine for the Hungarian Danuvia 43M?

IF a magazine can be located shooting it would be a lot of fun for sure. Hoping one of our Hungarian members can find one for me. Looks like a bayonet could be located much much easier.

Have you tried anyone like Sarco, Century, OOW, etc.? You're best bet is to try importers and those that sell parts kits. Maybe you'll just have to take a trip to Knob Creek.

From the pic it looks like you may also be missing the folding magazine housing assembly.
