I did not care for this rifle when it first appeared in Mr. Law's book. I believe it was a fantasy sniper then and remains one now. How difficult is it to set one up with this type of base and mount? Answer it isn't. The rifle appears to be correct but I would not own it as a legitimate WW2 German sniper. As for it being published in Richard's book, it is a fact that a number of guns that are in his books are nothing more than flights of fancy. I knew Richard and liked him but he was, shall we say, too trusting and naive when it came to properly vetting the source material photos that he selected for publication.

First off the Scope is Post War produced , Second I know someone who knows the two Guys who Originally made the Rifle Up . Third as maticulise as the Germans are they was no reason if it was Original for the Rear Mount to have a windage adjustment on it , the Scope has Windage Adjustment . That is what
base my conclusion on . and also Scope is Post War Production . I know this because I collect Scopes also . B.Nickle & Marburg Co. was formed POST WAR
                      because I researched it .
