    Kar98' Bnz41.

I would like your opinion special about the stock.
The stock does not eagle stamps only a serial number stamped?
Furthermore, my question what are the markings under the k98? the rear sight is also marked with a 2x Waa 26 serial numer en a Z en WaA 280.
The k98 is not even numberet
And the k98 has no model number not a MOD.98? can someone explain that.

Your stock is a postwar Russian Capture or Yugoslavian, hence the serial number on the side of the buttstock.....Any original eagle that may have been in the stock probably wore away from use a long time ago.....Bodes

U534, The rest of the rifle is indeed original WW2 German.....The buttplate has been buffed, probably removing postwar black paint......This would indicate the stock is Russian capture.....The fact it is missing the Model 98 designation is an early Steyr thing.....Bodes
