Bought this today. I have been looking for a decent garand for a while now. Serial # and barrel are from late 44. The rest was told was wwii as well. however, i dont know about the stock. What does a square p mean on the pistol grip? post war? if the stock is not wwii no biggie, got this cheap enough i can replace it. thanks for the help and ill post my pics when i pick it up
