    Dou.44 k98 rifle question.

    Hello, everyone.

    I have a question about the Dou 44 k98 rifle.

    Can someone tell me from which serial number it has started producing Dou.44 rifles.
    Or maybe someone has a link or list of start producing this k98's.

    Highest serial # observed 8676nn.Total production 346,586.Hope this helps.

      Today, after some investigation, on internet I have also found some things about the dou 44 rifle.

      The known serial number range is from 3366 to 8676nn, with an estimated production run of
      420,000 rifles.

      What amazed me is that my dou 44 rifle has serial number 3340,''C''block.
      This k98 I bought last year by a Belgian collector, this k98 is in 2008 found in Poteau.
      All number equal only what screws have been replaced by the previous owner.
      The weapon is the same number including the woodwork.

      Unfortunately, the k98 have been devoured in the metal, the weapon is refurbished by the previous owner.
      But still in good condition for a barn find but what if you want more than 60 years in a barn is located

        This k98 was found in Poteau in 2008 and restored
        Because he was already very far gone, I hope you understand.
