    mp_38 Leather Safety

    Gentlemen,
Can you please tell me if this is real WWII period?
I was just told by a forum member that it is not real and I have just made payment on it.
    Thanks in advance.

Well I have never seen an original one before thus my opinion should not count, but I like the leather and stitching, not meaning this one to be period.
    Just my two cents

Sorry, but it stinks! The WaA is clearly a (bad) hoax, and although the leather appears periode, the wear of the "New-stitched" parts does not match the age (or wear!).
And the most important bit: If I knew I had a original safety strap and would sell it, I would have charged at least the same as the going rate for the metal muzzle cover, which is $ 1500,- (and not as rare as the safety strap!)
Selling it for $ 200 appears to me to be "passing on a rotten egg".

Those are exactly my concerns, couldn't have expressed it better...

I saw it for sale and didn't like it, but what surprised me was the guy selling it, He made suck a big deal about a KM rig Matt was selling and how much of a piece of crap it was and he was a master collector yodda yodda yadda, I would get my money back.

I requested a refund. He does not seem to want to give one. He goes on and on about how y'all do not like him and he has had it for 10-15 years....
My paypal payment should arrive today. I requested that he just send the money back. He does not want to....
                What to do???
