    Thanks for the nice compliment and I'm sure glad to hear that you enjoyed the MP-40. Years ago a really advanced collector friend/mentor of mine told me that "if you keep at it, you will end up owning stuff that you never dreamed you would have". I have found this to be true, the MP-40 being just one example of such things.

    Thus, I fully anticipate that you will, over your collecting lifetime, end up with many wonderful pieces that (right now) may seem like an impossible dream.

      Well, I hope you are right. It would be great if we could have another amnesty so that folks could register all those unregistered MGs that are still in the woodwork... I would imagine that that would cause the prices to decrease a good bit.
