    Matt,

I confess that my first thought was that it was a Spanish-made pistol, mainly because the inscription "American Pistol..." in the slide. This kind of English inscriptions was a very common feature on most of the Spanish pistols of that time. But the Crowned/N puzzled me and thus I prefered to keep quiet.

It's interesting to note that, from 1927 on a capital letter was used as proof to gun made in Spain, where which year was given a specific letter, starting with "A". So your Walman was made before that year as it lacks this proof as far as I can see.

Let's see what else we can find out!

Here is a very interesting link about Spanish proofs that might be useful to help you to date this pistol:

Please, note that this webpage is written both in Spanish and English.

        Douglas,

        Well, you were correct!

A friend of mine has a book on Spanish pistols that he says I can borrow. Only problem is, he lives about 2 hours away from me, and i'm not sure when I'll be able to stop and see him?

I'll keep searching though. Thanks for the link btw. I wasn't able to find any of the markings mine has though?
