    .30M1 folding parastock original???

    Hi, I can buy a folding carbine stock, but I have no idea if it is an original or not. It looks pretty authentic, but I know that at least 90% are fakes, so I could use your opinion. Here are some pics:

    Better pictures of specific areas/markings could be asked for but from what you have shown, It would say it is an original! -Ron

      yep, it's original and they do have a tendency to crack in the area pointed out in one of the pics. the cross cannons looks dead on and the circle P proof is right the leather and rivets look legit as well. look down it the stock in the channel forward of the trigger housing well there should be OI stamped in there just forward in the bottom of the channel almost up close to the wall that separates the trigger housing well from the channel and the #' cast into the buttplate hinge and other characters as well are consistant with being legit. nice find and best regards

          most of the "Books" have so much mis-information in them that they are not a credible source. as far as quick reference they are ok, but not gospel and verse your stock is a legitamate G.I. para stock
