local guy has two helmets for sale

i know this is not the helmet forum, but i am a gun guy and just getting into other stuff. i hang out here and trust the info i have received about guns etc. he has two helmets. he thinks both were restored by the previous owner that does restoration of antiques. i know that is a bad thing and i don't see any possibility they are untouched etc. one is black and one is gray. one has a ss and a three color decal on the other side. the other has an eagle with a swaztika and somthing else on the other side. both have liners that appear original to the helmets. i shall go see tomorrow and try to take pictures unless i go crazy and just buy em. my question is ,if these are correct helmets and well restored how do they compare to untouched helmets in value. are there as many strong buyers for restored items as untouched? i know enough to look for three pads is probably spanish liner and sizes are like 56 and 67 and there should be names of leather makers on liners , but i am a novice every where else. oh the giuy is asking 125 a piece , and says he got them as payment for work done and is not a helmet collector. he said they are supposed to be ww2 correct except for being redone he thinks. they look awsome according to him and that is why he presumes they are redone. what you guys think? i went out today and took pictures , he also had his dadsa uniform german ww2 overcoat, tunic indershirt and trousers and siuspenders. i can email pix if anyone interested.

Probably completely redone helmets at $125 a piece. Huge variation in price from a redone helmet to all original. Pictures are really the only way to give an accurate assesment. Worst case scenario, is you pay $125 each for helmets that may be worth $125 in parts.
