Hit a pretty good score this past week with more to come from the same source. In the first picture you will see the 3 pistols I got from the vets son this past week. A beautiful Colt Army 45 model 1917, A S&W CAG 38 special and a Remington Rand M1911A1. All have their original holsters. They all belonged to Francis Pickens Miller who served in WW1 & WW2. The book you see lying in front of the guns is only one of a half dozen books Mr. Miller wrote in his long and illustrious career and it relates to a couple other personal Hitler items I bought from the son.
Even though I haven't read the whole book I have read enough to know that Mr. Miller was not your ordinary vet. In WW2 he was an officer in the OSS and later in the war was transferred to SHAEF and was a colonel on Eisenhowers staff. Anyway, I'll be picking up his entire awards grouping after the first of the year. Cannot wait to get those babies!! Alex
