                    rebuild

                    Hello Sisu,

I finally took the pics of this my M3 !! It is out of my home....
It was surely rebuild by the US troops in Luxembourg, I received it straight from the source, from a farm's barnstable in the Battle of the Bulge sector.

Nice Grease gun! Is it still "live". These are actually tough to find these days. Much tougher to find one than a Thompson.

                        live Grease-Gun

                        Hi Matt,

yes, it is live in as discovered condition !
It is actually not been "rebuild" but rather field-modified by its GI-owner or the field gunsmith.

Thanks for your comments about it !

Nice find! I actually carried one of these in Vietnam for a short period of time. Heavy but a real slow cyclic rate. Easy to squeze off single shots.
Take good care of this baby,

                          Merry Christmas!

Nice Greaser, but that is a really odd cocking knob modification. I really doubt that would have been GI modified as this was US Gov't. property and this major of a modification would have been frowned upon. In addition to that, whay would someone take the trouble to change it when the original way of cocking the gun with a finger hole in the bolt works so well? Odd, but very very cool.

I regularly shoot a friends M3 and for having such crude sights it is surprisingly accurate.

I'd rather have this one than a mint one. I bet you can "smell" and "see" its history..

Take good care of it !
