    The VG1-5 used MP/StG44 magazines.

    Other use:
    - Prototype Kar43 with MP/StG44 magazines
    - Pre production (0) series StG45(M)

    Post war:
    - French prototypes
    - Spanish prototypes
    - Belgian FN FAL prototypes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StG45 - the one pictured is a final version, intended for mass production

I would've imagined something else. It is not as hot as the StG 43..

don't forget the mkb-42(h) and mkb-42(w), 2 weapons different from stg-44 series. mauser made several different prototypes, the gerat 06 and 06h, very different from each other, as well as the pre production stg 45 prototype which is basically a gerat 06h.
several other german manufacturers produced prototype weapons for this cartridge as well, in addition louis stange supposedly was interested in making a version of the fg-42 for this round, and it is ever so remotely possible such a prototype may have been made...
