    bnz MG42

    Hi
Please, could someone post a picture of the markings of a bnz MG42?
I have been offered one and found out that the markings are a little bogus, not as crispy as in a cra marked one......They seemed to have been made with an electropencil.
Also, how rare are the bnz MG42?
I have always seen cra and dfb marked ones.....
    Thanks for your help

      Many thanks for the info.
I have found pictures of crude markings on bnz MG42, so I assume they were all like this, not postwar stamped

          Thanks Fab,
          That's exactly.
The one offered is like the second one GZ from 1943.
I doubted a bit because I had seen other maker's markings and were better than this one, which at first glance I thought it was a fake marking.
          Thanks for the pictures
          Cheers

Although I've never handled one, I've seen a quite a few photos of the crude markings used for BNZ/Steyer MG42's... Hope that helps, Chris...
