Hi guys, I know we cannot buy deacts from Europe can we buy deactivated/demilled barrells? Anyone Know?

Hi Ben, this is not allowed. Any deact or parts there of are treated as Live by UK customs regardless of how they are done.

Hi regiment,

Bear in mind that you have to consider " pressure bearing items" ergo......barrels, recievers, bolts, gas plugs, pistons.

I have not had a problem with things like sights, magazines, small pins etc.
Excepting of course firing pins, dont even bother. I have also had no problem with timber for repairs ie butts, stocks, forearms.

Have a trawl thro the net for the regulations as they dont like items like flash eliminators or flash hiders, even if you wanted one for say a deac bren that had been damaged you could not purchase one separately.

Confusing to say the least but its partly why i will crawl all over a potential purchase to make sure it is actually in as good a condition as possible.
Definately do not touch any of the securing pins or welding done during deactivation. Basically be carefull what you lay cash out for and don't let it get squashed !

Hi Tim, I wont even bother with it, I will look for one in the UK, I have seen them for sale before with their own Deact Cert
