Some years ago, I purchased a K-98 rifle, along with some other items, from a vet's widow. The rifle is marked BNZ 43. German military markings are present and all part numbers match up on both the gun and wooden stock. The inside of the barrel is free from pitting or rust. The only thing wrong is that there is a bullet hole in the wooden stock, near the front of the gun. Seems the copper jacket of the bullet, still in the wood, was stopped by the metal barrel. The bullet hole seems WWII era.
Anyway, I am not into guns and might like to sell this. Would anyone have an idea as to value? Thanks in advance.
