    A Few of my Collection

Thought I would post a few WW2 guns from my collection...........

byf 41 luftwaffe.......bringback by my father

    dot 44.........bringback by my uncle

kkw - mauser........bringback by my father

    luger s/42..........bringback by my father

    mp40 fxo-41..........bringback by my father

    beretta 38/43........my acquisition

    ppd-40 finn capture........my acquisition

The subguns are registered/papered......the mp40 was my 1st, given to me by my father some 20+ years ago.
The ppd-40 is the rarest......the predecessor of the ppsh-41.

Excellent, you are lucky to have retained your fathers war trophys, and it looks like he had good taste...and a heavy bag to hump home !

Your father brought back a K98, MP40 and a Luger. You lucky dog!! I guess he knew what he was looking for. Who did he fight with, and how did he manage to pack around all those guns?

Your father had a very good taste for firearms! Congratulations!
May I suggest you to post bigger pictures of each item? I'm sure everyone here will enjoy it!

The PPSH40 is extremely rare anywhere, but registered and legal in the US this is a second mortgage....however that Mp40 just speaks to to somebody that has seen a few good ones !

Great stuff you have there. Like the other posts stated, you are very lucky that your father and other relatives had the good sense to select such fine war trophies, were successful in getting them home, did not dispose of them post-war, and that you have ended up with them. Way too many guys have stories about what their family members attempted to bring home and/or brought home but "let go" years ago. Good to see that the bring-back stories are really true for you.

On the Beretta MP38/43, would you mind posting closeups of any proof marks on the stock, as well as the gun's serial number? Just wondering if you gun is similar the following bring-back gun:

My 38/43 bears the same "UT over 44" stock marking as does yours. I can't find the "GP" marking on mine, but
there is an oval marking in the sling cut out which I can't make out.

My serial # is 339X under "CU"........hope this helps.

                          Question

Did your father register the MP40 in the '68 Amnesty program?

Very, very nice and family bringbacks too! Wow.

I love the MP40 with the honest wear, but that AK sling has gotta go! Ha.

This is the first transferable PPD40 I've ever seen in the US, nice find.
