    Luger Question

Hi guys, if you were having a Luger in a collection, is it better to have a WW1 Luger or WW2 Luger, or does it not matter? Is one more collectable than the other?

    Thanks

I would say it doesn't matter which war, it is more a matter of how rare the particular combination of markings is. A rare World War II example is worth more than a common World War I example, and vice-versa. If you have two guns to choose between then you research the particular markings of each. If you are just asking a general question then you should just go with whatever is the most interesting to you and not worry about which will be worth more in the future IMO.

They both are very collectable. It really depends on what era you are interested in collecting? (WWI or WWII?). Also, don't forget about the mid-war years!! Some of the most interesting/rare Lugers were made/re-worked during the mid-war years!!

Hey thanks Matt, will probabley start with a matching WW1 or 2 Luger and go from there, but I do like the Artillery ones with shoulder stock
