    Taking care of a P38

    Hello all,

Following up on a really informative post on how to care for a K98, I was curious what some of you seasoned guys do to clean and preserve your P38s? Is there any particular cleaner that is preferred?

I don't want anything that might eat the finish off of the bakelite grips, but I'd still like to keep it oiled and prevent rusting.

I figured I'd throw a pic of mine on there to get some interest going

    Thanks!
    ~Chad

Actually, in the short time since I posted this, I got this head's up on the P38 forum:

Some good info, and I'd still like to share people's thoughts here too

      p38 care

If you want to send it to me I'll take care of it!!!
Seriously though, I had several gun folks turn me onto Break Free CLP, I won't use anything else now. It works great! Won't harm the finish a bit either, or the grips for that matter. Chris.....
