    NSKK Walther PP

Just picked up an NSKK PP, serial number 141468 P
Has this NSKK Walther PP been recorded yet by anyone?

Slide has the matching 3 digit serial inside. Not really collector's grade condition but a great opportunity on a teacher's salary for me to own an NSKK PP. Brown holster is marked "C L G 42" under neath the flap strap. (this is probably a wehrmacht issued holster for the PP)? Or am I wrong?

      Hi,

I think your holster is actually for a PPK or maybe a HSc. The toe of the holster is shorter than a PP would be. Also, notice that the slot in the closure strap has been elongated so it can engage the closure stud with the longer pistol in it.

I was told the holster is either a Sauer 38H or an Hsc.

Looks like a decent example of a hard to find mark. Just the right amount of wear to show it didn't sit in a drawer.

              Hi Rick,

If it is for a Sauer, it didn't have a Sauer mag in the mag pouch for very long. The Sauer 38H mags had a "button" on the side and usually caused a "bump" on the spare mag pouch. I didn't think your's was for a Sauer because I could see no evidence of the "bump".

              Regards, Leon

I had no idea there were NSKK marked pistols. That is a really nice one, enjoy it.

Walther had all types of contracts with the NSDAP entities. But of all the NSDAP marked Walther's, the NSKK Walther is the neatest because it actually uses the logo.

Very nice acquistion Rick. The serial has not been recorded in Germany. Ask Massaro if he has it recorded.

For sure a rare pistol and yours is a keeper for sure. The logo makes it sweet!

                          Congratulations,

                            Very nice find!

As for the holster, I agree with Leon here. Looks like a PPK holster, or HSc. Definately not a Sauer, as the Sauer frame is almost the same size as a PP frame. Also, the Sauer magazines left a "dimple" in the side of the mag pouch, and you would definately notice this with the amount of wear on the mag pouch inside. (that's the easiest way to spot a Sauer holster! Just look for the "dimple" on the mag pouch.)

                            Matt

                              Hey, Joe.

I will ask Massaro if he knows about my serial, but he did mention that my number is in the middle range of known serials.
