know were to find a mg34 receiver?

I am trying to find a saw cut mg34 receiver but they are very hard to find, does anybody know where one can be found?

They are long gone Curt. I havn't seen one for sale for 13 years now. The ATF changed the method of destruction that was allowable long ago.

        Chris.....
Just to be a little more clear on that; you CAN reweld a MODIFIED SEMI-AUTO VERSION made out of the demilled parts. If you just reweld a torch cut one, unless you are an 07 SOT manufactuer, it's a trip to Club Fed and a 10-year dance card filled by a rather large and quite affectionate guy named Tyrone...

            Thanks guys,
I'm going to check the sites. I have seen the jigs to put the 34 receiver together, would it be alot more difficult to build a semi with a torch cut or just slightly more difficult. I really don't have that much gunsmithing experience so I'm sure I would have to have someone build it if I find a receiver.

I have a kit sitting around, hopefully it can be built into a working firearm one day. until then I'll keep searching. I have considered TNW's receiver. cost an arm and a leg, but then again 34's arent cheap. One of those I wish...

                mg34 reweld

Just to 2nd what pvt joker said, you can reweld an atf compliant modified semiauto only, Fullauto is a no-no, unless you are a licensed class 3 dealer doing a post ban sample. Also, if you ever reweld a receiver for your own use (you need the 07 license to manufacture for commercial resale purposes) make sure the modifications are made before rewelding, you don't want to be in possession of an illegal mg at any time, bubba will be waiting....

That said there are folks who reweld compliant 34's and 42's out there, the 42 being a much easier reweld due to the tolerances betweeen the two weapons.
The days of cheap kits and receievers are long gone by the way.....

                Chris...
