    1911a1 US&S question!

    Hello mates,

    I was offered this nice looking 1911a1. But I'm not an expert in the details, could you help me?
    Is this light grey finish original parkerized? Or is it refinished? Or is it simply worn?

                Not only is the finish bogus , but as noted the serial is a recent addition....such a serial mod can get a guy in hot water with the feds in the US. I would not touch it with a ten foot pole !.
                Also note the pitting under the goofy gray parker finish.
