The holster is right, I agree with you on that. The rings are one of those though to impossible calls that we run into from time to time with this stuff. They look like they hav been on it a while. Could be a GI making a pseudo shoulder holster or maybe even a German..probably less likely.

I'd say remove them or leave them either way would be ok. I would leave them but I probably would not have 10 or 20 years ago.

Nice holster.I would say the rings are an addition.German "anal" craftsmanship exceeds the quality of those rings,but it makes for an interesting conversation.Here is a pic of my PPK holster with rings.It's like comparing apples to oranges,but you can see that German quality that we all love.
