According to Handrich's 'Sturmgewehr!' it never left the the drawing board.

Interesting looking design though. Combination optic/fixed sights. And using the mag as the pistol grip.

looks like once again, the germans were decades ahead of everyone else in the world on designs.

this looks a lot like an MP5 to me. Not exactly but the first compact looking assault rifle kind of thing or so....
