    M1 Garand / 03 Spring. possible purchase

Hi a pawn type guy I know bought a gun collection. In there is a M1 carbine, M1 Garrand, and a 03 Springfield. The guy said they are all original issue (but he really doesn't know this stuff) -- the prices -- $800 for the carbine (I could have traded a lot better and got it for less but on inspection I saw it was an import so I left it alone), $1400 for the Garrand, and $450 for the Springfield. The Springfield has adjustable rear sights and the Garand has an old original sling.

I could get both the 03 and the Garrand for $1500 but I don't know. I know prices vary from region to region but does this sound like top retail (given that the guns are straight) or a good deal?

IF you are fortunate enough to have the Garand in it's original WW2 configuration (parts and finish), it would be worth the $1500 alone......But seeing since it's most likely been refurbished some time along the way, I'd say the two together are worth it for the $1500 price......That is IF the condition for both is nice, unmessed with condition......Bodes

I looked at the guns again -- here are the numbers

The Garand had D28287-12SA with a diamond all on the receiver
        W10B
It also had 1545219 farther back. The gun is a Springfield with SAA and FMF or EME plus crossed cannons on the stock. I couldn't find any date or other writing down in the chamber like people say.

The 03 is also a Springfield with markings SA 4-18 A 847031 on the barrel and FJA as the cartouche

the stock is most likely SA E.M.c.F these stocks are pretty rare so if it is correct for the rifle date and if it is in original configuration with original barrel, i think the two would be worth the price.
