    MP40 BNZ44 Anybody have one?

    I was just wondering if anybody has a BNZ44 marked MP40? Is the barrel serial numbered the same as the reciever? Also how many folks have an MP40 with the resting bar missing? I am thinking about buying this weapon so any quick help would be appreciated.

    I don't understand why that is a concern for you; that marking would be my last consideration in buying an MP-40...

      I have one and the number is complete except for the very first in the string. All of my MP40's had the resting bar but I see no problem with a MP40 not having the bar. There are plenty of pictures of them without the bar during the war.

        Hoot,

        It is a nice MP40 but the barrel is missing the resting bar and the barrel has a long serial number on the bottom of it that is where the resting bar would be and it is 7 digits long. I am just checking to see if this is the original barrel.

          My bnz41 MP40 is missing the resting bar ( pics in MG34 post, this section), has matching numbers along with" 74 stg "under where the rest bar should be.
          Sourced replacement bar for a whole 25 Euro so will be complete again soon
