    cleaning of K98 stripper clips?

hey Guys, Glenn here. I recieved these K98 clips the other day and like so many out there, they are pretty wasted. any ideas of how they could be cleaned up in any way. SOS pads, steel wool, comet, Coke (I heard that takes off rust.) any tricks out there? I would appreciate hearing them. Glenn

Very fine (#0000) steel wool and a rust remover such as Birchwood/Casey Rust and Blue remover. I have used this and it was a success. Have fun....it's a pain in the butt and takes a long time. Good Luck.

looks like he soaked them in apple cider vinegar for a spell ( it removes light blue/phosphate finishes.
