    My first zf41 scopes

    Hello Everyone,

My first zf41 scopes arrived today,
I was happy to hold them both.

What do you think of the mounts?

I don't have any problems with the
scopes but I know there are a lot
    of fake mounts these days.

Both mounts are marked DUV with
an eagle and number 214. NUMBER ONE
has the letter H on the inside,
NUMBER 2 has the letter M.

Let me know what you think of both mounts.

    Kind regards, Floris

Don't have the cans but those will come later on.

The mounts also look consistent with 65 years of age,
and I can't find any lead to think a bad thing about it.

I WILL POST SOME PICTURES OF THE COMPLETE K98/ZF41
              WHEN THEY WILL FINALLY MEET.

              Thanks for the responses

                Hello Floris.

Beautiful zf41's or they just have come from the factory

I do not have much sense of scope mounts, maybe someone else has more sense, I know that there are many faking on the market.
                Here a nice site

Here are some pictures of my zf41 / 1 k98 is not mine

                  Hello Simson,

I like your scope and mount, but there is
                  something wrong with the mauser.

First of all there is never a barrel-protector
                  on a zf41 mauser (I don't know the exact
name in English but I am pointing on the
metal piece on the top of the barrel)

And secondly, I've read that only 3 k98
marks were produced with an adapter for
the zf41. (ar, byf and duv)

So your mauser has to be a self-made
                  zf41 post-war or a zf41 mauser 'made
                  in the field'.

Could you post some pictures of the
adapter on your zf41 k98 mauser?

                    Hello Floris.

This is not my mauser k98 but of a comrade it was a byf 44 with mounting for conical rollers.I can asking for a a photo of the adaptor.
The zf 41/1 telescope is mine Collectors gem
I have seen world war 2 photos of k98's with a front sight hood.

                      Wow!!

                      Thanks for those great pictures!

I thought the front side hood would be in the
                      way for the zf41 scope.

Anyway thanks again and I will put front-side-
hoods on my zf41 mausers and share the pictures
when they are ready. (I'm on vacation now )
