    CZ28 Pistol

I was going through a box and found this pistol. It is marked CZ28 and is in .380 cal.

It is not something I plan on keeping. Is there a common value for an average pistol?

Thank you, Bill. The nark is CZ28, so is 1928 the year of manuracture?

Can you help me with a ballpark firure for an average condition arm?

I did some research today on your pistol.Axis Pistols by Jan Still pg 57 shows a pistol physically identical to yours and lists it as a Cz 24.According to Jan the manufacture date is represented by the J/Lion/29[1929].The Cz24 is recognized by its smooth wood grips, and 5 angled serations on the slide. The book makes no mention of a Cz28.Standard Catalog of Military Firearms 4th edition by Phillip Peterson pg 62 .lists your pistol as a Cz 24,9mm short, about 170,000 produced between 1922 and 1938.The book also mentions a Cz 25,Cz26 which were thought to be prototypes on the way to the Cz27.Standard Catalog lists the value
                EXC.500 VG 375 Good 300 Fair 200 Poor 100, add 50% for Nazi proof.
This is just a ballpark, hope this helps.
Ps. an internet search came up with no hits for a Cz28

                  Hello Jason,

In your book, does the pistol dispolay the CZ28 marking on the slide as in my first and fourth photo?

                    Hi Bob,
From three reference books I have, I can not see the Cz 28 markings in any of the pictures.Good Luck.
