Fond this mark on a p08 mag.. eagle with L.. What does the L mean??

Jacob, Jason is certainly correct in that this is a Police acceptance mark. Many are on Mauser Banner Police Pistols.
A more direct answere to your question...I don't know that it has been absolutely determined as to what the L means. I have heard that is was the initial of the inspector or that it was a location.
There were several types of these. Eagle K Eagle F Eagle C and another more rare that escapes me this morning!
I would like to know this myself! It's exact meaning may be lost to time.
