    1906 photos reblue?

I hope these will help. A private gun collector is selling this luger.
Thank you everyone for your help.

It looks just as re-blued here as it does in the other thread.

Reblued you are looking at half the value of one that is not reblued.

Any chance you could confirm the gun's serial number?

It looks like 29327 or maybe 29387.

                    Thanks,

                    Alan

A couple of points...though it looks reblued it does exhibit some light wear in the areas I would expect to see it...I would expect to be able to determine that the "GERMANY" stamp had been stamped through the bluing, your photo is too dark and obscure to determine that.

The pistol appears to have a Crown/N proof on the barrel, is this the case? Known American Eagles serial numbered between 28866 and 31309 (fifteen examples) all are without proofs.

You don't think adding period wear has not crossed the minds of the wicked?.

I have seen these done, and better than that.

                          I didn't like what I saw.
Looks reblued from the pictures posted. There is no halo around the stamps and no patina as would be expected in a 100 years old pistol. In addition, the straw looks too new also.

Unless new pictures, with a better light, are provided and show some different details, I'm convinced that the gun is reblued.
