Gentlemen, thank you very much for the comments, I am grateful for them all! As suggested by a forum member here, I sent the pics to Bruce Canfield, and he emailed me back, stating he sees nothing suspicious from the pics. That is pretty much good enough for me. Thank you once again all

I personally have no problems with the stock proofs either.....IF a person took the time to re-touch/re-stamp the Springfield Armory/G.H.S proof, why wouldn't they redo the Ordnance Wheel w/crossed cannons as well?.....I believe the one was just stamped a little harder than the other......Bodes
