    Help on clip id ?

    Hello,

I'm posting this for a friend.

Does anybody know for/from what weapon this clip was used ?
    Maybe C.96 ?

    Thanks in advance !
    Kris

These are 10 rd stripper clips for fast loading a Carbine 30 rd mag. I have three bandoleers from the Korean war. Ammo W.R.A 52 and bandoleer dated 1952.

We got issued brand new M2s in RVN in '68 as the indig in the camps were only getting vintage stuff.

I recall finding several crates of carbine tracers in 10 round clips.

I always wondered what their purpose was.

The team medic at the time was a gun nut as well and we used to burn a lot of this at the end of the airsrip. Learned a lot about carbine accuracy even though tracers have different properties.

Never used them in the field-tracers work both directions.
