    Walther PPK Swastika C

Hi, Can I have some help to identify this Walther PPK 7,65 (32ACP)? Beside ordinary N-proof stamps it carries a Nazi eagle holding sun type of swastika beside the letter C. (See the picture)
I have been told that this pistol belonged to Gestapo. Is it rue? Anybody who knows what this stamp indicates and which unit used it?
What is the value in Europe of this Walther PPK? The condition is very good except for the crack in the grip and it is like most of these pistols shooting very well.
    Thank you in advance.

Wartime German police acceptance mark. Eagle F is also a police acceptance mark. Neither indicate Gestapo acceptance or to which unit the pistol was assigned.

Cracked grips are common on PPKs. If you find one with perfect condition grips you may want to check it further. Perfect grips often signify reproduction grips as original grips tend to warp a bit with age.

The police acceptance marking was used pre-war as well as during the war. The crown/N marks indicate the pistol was proofed before January 14, 1940. As one of the million series police issue pistols, it is possible the gun was issued before September 1939.

                      that's kinda high.

There's a shop by me that wants 1400 for a police eagle C ppk in 95% condition.
out in the midwest you would pay even less than that.

but I am full aware that at auction these can go higher

I think I might be paying too much for my guns

I'd sell mine in a New York second for $2500.00!

                              Even throw in the holster!
