My Czech-made K98 Mauser

Some detailed pictures of my late war swp45 marked K98 to share, beginning with a Photomerge. I doubt that I will ever own (sigh) or even locate one of the rare and elusive german-made examples issued to the front line grunts, but these are the next best thing. I do not believe mine was ever issued or fired and remains as it came from the Brno factory in Czechoslovakia before the end of the war. May have been period refinished though, as I have been told. Hope you like it.

Not really when you think about how their entire world was crashing down around them.
