The answers in that thread pretty much covered it. You may want to pick McCollum's Japanese Rifles of World War II or Honeycutt's Military Rifles of Japan. Both of these are excellent references. Also you may want to contact the web master here - http://www.gunboards.com/sites/banzai/ I am sure he can help you or put you in touch with someone that can.

The $800 suggested price is much more in line with average prices than the $200 price.

I have Honeycutts book and I believe every japanese rifle owner should have a copy.

The 200 dollar thing is just a lowball price. Value would be 600-800.

Offer him 300-400 and you may be able to get it.
