Webley Senior Air pistol, what gun oil?

I just got myself a 1950s Webley Air pistol. Webley produced two types of gun oil the No. 1 and the No. 2. The No. 2 is the right on for the Senior because it had a metal washer in the piston and not a leather or rubber one like some of their other models.

My question is what modern gun oil should I use? I have noticed some say “not for use in airgun pistons." Silicon biased oil is not the right one I guess.

You should only use airgun oils on these. It is a very light grade of oil that keeps the gakets supple. Here in teh states I get my oil from Beeman, in the UK I unfortunately don't know where you can get the oil you need.

Webley Air Pistol oil

Before I left the gun trade in 1974 the oil we used to lubricate everything was Express Oil (probably from Parker Hale).
Also on the market then was Young's 303 Oil which was for CLEANING gun barrels ONLY. Many's the shotgun I had to clean that was clogged solid because the owner had lovingly lubricated it with Young's 303!
