    SVT 40 for Gene

    Hi Gene,

    As you can see it is not a post war rebuild! It was taken by the Finns and has there mark on it however. I bought it about 20 years ago from a friend in Vaasa Finland who has now sadly passed away.

    Cheers

          Thanks Gary. I have an SVT that was captured in France by an American and brought back as a war trophy. It's missing the magazine and it's a little rough, but it's a true vet bringback.

            Отличная СВТ-40 . В частности финны очень долго не могли понять почему СССР сняло их с производства а причиной тому было банальное перекашивание патрона и как следствие заклинивание что в условиях боя было не допустимо. Ещё раз поздравляю с обретением у нас в России в таком состоянии даже макет приобрести сложно.

                    Translation from above;
                    "Outstanding [SVT]-40. In particular Finns very for long could not understand why the USSR it removed them from the production and reason to that was the commonplace distortion of cartridge and as consequence wedging that under the conditions for battle was not permissible. Again I congratulate with the finding in our Russia in this state to acquire complicatedly even mock-up."
