    Kar98a pricing question

    Hi
The kar98a has rised my attention and would like to know how rare this carbine is as well as a range price.
    Thanks

It depends on the manufacturer, unit markings, and condition, condition, condition. I have bought matching (or mostly) ones for as little as $200 but also sold some for as high as $1000.00. Many blue books price them in lock step with 98k's, although they are certainly rarer. hope ths helps

I bought a reral nice matching 1918/1920 a while back.

I did not feel bad about paying $800.

They look neat and are not common anymore in original condition.

Here's a source of information for the K98a.

It seems the condition, yr and maker, and post war markings will influence value the most.
