First up, is for you guys who love minty guns. Another minty P38!! Remeber the last one? (it was a "byf43"), This one is a "byf44"! Stone mint. Looks like it's never been used! Enjoy!

Now for the second helping. This one is for you guys and gals, who like guns with some wear, or that "been there" look.

This is a Walther P38, "AC43" stack. I got this gun from a vet of the 3rd armored division. He said in April 1945 a large group of Germans surrendered to his company. Him and a few others were responsible for "shaking" them down (checking for weapons, and IDs, and other stuff). He got this P38, with the holster, off of a German NCO. He said the German NCO was older looking (probably 20!), and had several medals on him, including an Iron cross, and a silver medal (maybe a wound badge or some assault badge? he didn't know?). Unfortunately He didn't know where the badges went too? but I did get the P38 and holster, and here it is!

Boy, I wish this gun could talk! To be an NCO in 1945 in the German army, you had to be an experianced veteran. Just think what this P38 might have been through. Look at the condition, same as when I got it!
          Enjoy!

Right side view of the AC43 stack. Another interested fact about this P38, is that is the most accurate P38 I own, and ever fired! I've fired many P38s, and even some "minty" ones, but none have been as accurate as this "AC43" stack. I have no idea why? It just shoots good.

Forgot to mention, the "AC43" stack is a variation 2, as Leon reminded me in another thread.
Ronnie, I though you would like the AC43 stack.

                Enjoy!

Great guns!!!! I like the history behind the ac. Do you have any P-38s with bring back papers ? The papers really make your imagination run about the history, and " the tale of the gun".

                      SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY!
A minty one and a "it was there" gun! I enjoy both .
I alson loved the story behind the AC43 - wish it could talk, but who didn't?

                      Thanks for sharing,

                      Douglas

Thanks guys! No, I don't have any bringback papers with the AC43. I got it back when bringback papers weren't even considered important. The really sad thing about this AC43, is that I didn't even get the vets' name and info. I just bought it from him at a show, and he told me the story of how he obtained it. He said he never fired it either, so I was the first person to shoot it since 1945!
