    Not mint either

So, OK, Bill, you have to sell your rifle, you have no choice, but you will not settle for less than fair value to you, what's it worth?

Nice example Bill. What is the serial? Mid four digits I think. I have seen some definite serial numbers on SS corrspondance concerning these, but they were all five digits which would be the Mauser contract. Himmler decided to get some more kick-backs, er... rebates, from other makers like he did on the SS-Police swords.

We see cool stuff, our families see vacations, TVs, etc. And I always say, everything I bought that wasn't a fake has tripled in value... "yeah dad, let's see the cigar box again..."

They started procuring them as early as 1935. Bill, I would class your ERMA much rarer than the Mausers. From Speed's book and other sources, I have over two dozen Mauser RFSS examples, but less than three ERMA variations.

Then one of each is a collection.

Appears the serial number on my is 27 869. The 27 is a different stamp but slightly ahead of the 869.

Joe, at one time I owned an RFSS DSM-34 that was marked on the receiver, "Waffenstadt Suhl 1934". The serial number was 1796.
