    Luger holster WWII

I just wanted to get some feedback on this holster if I could. First is it original and second any idea on it's value. The holster is marked w/the makers name and dated 1938. It has a Weimar? period proof w/Waxxx number under it. My concern is that this proof is too late for the date on the holster and why is it not marked P.08. The holster is in ex. condition.

    Thanks,

    Bill

There is nothing wrong with that holster at all. Nothing I see anyway. I would say its a 200.00 holster as it sits.

            Bill,

The droop eagle is correct for that time period. They didn't mark P.08 holsters with the "P08" until starting in late 1940. That is likely because of the availability of P.38 holsters starting in 1940, for the most part. The very early P.38 holsters weren't marked P.38 either so, I assume, it was to indicate which pistol the holster was made for.

            Regards, Leon

I agree with Leon. Holster is correct as is. Very nice too!
